| Description
and Applications |
| Rutile
coated austenitic - ferritic stainless steel electrode with stainless |
| steel
core wire supplying a duplex weld metal resistant to strees corrosion |
| and
incentive to dilution with parent metal. It is suitable for welding |
| high-strength,
unalloyed, and alloyed structural, tool and heat treatable |
|
steels, spring steels, nickel steels, armour palates
and austenitic |
|
manganese steels. Typical applications also
include the welding of |
| dissimilar
steel combinations such as mild or low alloyed steel to stainless |
| steel
and buffer layers in Hardfacing. |
|
Distinguished by its outstanding welding characteristics
such as excellent |
| out
of position weldability, good strain hardenability
of the weld deposit |
| (from
200 HB up to 350 HB) and good scaling resistance up to 1150ºC. |
| Preheating
and postweld treatments procedures are dictated by the |
| parent
metal properties. |
