 Description and Applications
Basic coated electrode designed to improve deposition rate and bead
appearance for welding mild and low alloyed steels under condition of high
restraint, A and E grade ship steels, 17Mn4 and 19Mn5 pressure vessel
steels, pipe steels and cast steels from GS 38 to GS 60. It is the preferred
electrode for subzero applications and for heavy sections where superior
mechanical properties requested to minimize cracking. An iron powder
addition in the coating gives a metal recovery of approximately 120%.
Distinguished by outstanding welding characteristics such as excellent out
of position weld ability, good striking and re striking properties, stable arc
and no spattering, easy slag removal, homogenous and smooth bead with
 low hydrogen content.
